Consumer Pulse Wave 7

As Canada continues to reopen, consumers are the most confident since the start of the pandemic - indicating that, barring a sudden reversal, the worst may be over for those affected.

In the latest wave of the survey, 53% of Canadians reported that their household is still negatively impacted by COVID-19, marking the lowest number since the survey began and down ten percentage points from April’s high of 63%.

Another positive indicator is that only 6% indicated they think they may be negatively impacted in the future - also the lowest number since the survey’s beginnings.
