Consumer Pulse Wave 2

Compared to just a week ago, significantly more Canadians are being impacted financially (63% impacted, versus 57% last week). 

The launch of the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) may be having a positive impact on Canadian consumers. Fewer people this week are concerned about their ability to pay bills compared to last week (68% are concerned; down from 70% concerned in the prior week). 

A greater percentage of consumers are confident this week that they can pay their bills over the short term (40% of consumers this week think they can go 1-3 months before not being able to pay bills, compared to 34% in week one).
