Consumer Pulse Wave 10

Fifty-three percent of Canadian consumers surveyed indicate their household is negatively impacted by COVID-19. This is down from a high of 63% in April, but an increase of 5 percentage points from last wave. 

Twenty percent of impacted consumers indicate they are not sure how they will pay bills and loans, up 3 percentage points from last month. 

Canadians are split on their outlook of the future as 44% indicate they are optimistic, 23% indicate they are neither optimistic nor pessimistic, and 34% say they are pessimistic.
