Consumer Pulse Q2 2021

As the economy sees more rapid recovery and lockdown restrictions ease, Canadians are more hopeful about their financial situations. They’re not feeling financial hardship (nor expecting to) and many are positive about their financial outlook.

Canadians indicated they’re starting to reengage, with increased likelihood to dine out or shop in-store and online as the economy opens. We expect some revenge spending to drive the economy as stores and restaurants reopen.

Fraud scams seem to be increasing overall with older generations targeted by phishing schemes.
