In Person (Service Change Notice)

Notice: In-Person Services No Longer Available in Ontario. As of July 1, 2026, TransUnion Canada no longer offers in-person services at our Burlington, Ontario location as it is no longer necessary under legislation. Please continue to use our online, phone or mail channels for all service requests.

A Consumer Disclosure is a complete account of all the information on your credit file, as mandated by consumer reporting legislation. Unlike the version supplied to a business that purchases TransUnion services, which is referred to as a “Business Version,” a Consumer Disclosure lists all inquiries made to your credit information, including account management inquiries, non-credit-related inquiries and your own inquiries. The Business Version, also referred to as a “credit report”, is an abbreviated version of the Consumer Disclosure. This is similar to the credit report creditors do see. The Business Version does not contain account management inquiries, non-credit related inquiries or your personal inquiries to obtain a copy of your credit information.

Under legislation, consumers who reside in Ontario and Quebec are entitled to see their credit score and score factors on the Consumer Disclosure. Therefore, all Consumer Disclosures issued to Ontario and Quebec residents have a score and score factors integrated as part of the Consumer Disclosure.

If our investigation verifies the information is reporting correctly, you may add a 100-word statement in your report explaining your dispute. Exception: 200 words in Saskatchewan. TransUnion requires the request in writing, accompanied by a minimum of two pieces of acceptable identification. Together these combined pieces must contain your name, current address, date of birth and signature.

This statement is referred to as a consumer statement. This statement should serve as an explanation of item(s) contained in your credit history to companies viewing your credit report. Your statement can be removed at any time at your written request otherwise is maintained on your file for six years. All information should be supplied, with your signature to:
