A Day in the Life of a Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you can look forward to a supportive atmosphere that makes it a pleasure to assist clients, financial institutions and consumers in making the most of our products and services.

Here are a few typical responsibilities:

  • Receive calls, e-mails, and faxes from business customers, bankers and consumers.
  • Answer questions and fulfill requests in a timely manner.
  • Direct calls to other TransUnion departments (membership, consumer relations, fraud victim assistance, information technology, compliance, etc.) when appropriate.
  • Work as part of a team, supporting other associates and drawing on their insights and experience.
  • Take advantage of extensive research and other resources when necessary.
  • Run reports, record statistics, and process files for updating.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

A Day in the Life of a National Account Executive

As a National Account Executive, you'll have the support you need to build your career while you help us build our business. Your ambition and desire to succeed will be a great fit with our fast-paced and growing company.

Here are a few typical responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily review of accounts, addressing current opportunities and issues.
  • Assess needs of current customers to enhance relationships and generate incremental business.
  • Direct customer issues to the appropriate TransUnion departments (membership, consumer relations, fraud victim assistance, customer service, information technology, compliance, etc.) and follow up to ensure they're resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work as part of a team in supporting each other's sales and customer relationship efforts.
  • Process new memberships.
  • Investigate new opportunities for revenue, new industries for TransUnion to enter, and new potential customers.
  • Promote TransUnion and its products and services at every opportunity.
  • Travel when necessary.

A Day in the Life of a Programmer

As a Programmer at TransUnion, you'll play a critical role in working with and managing the data and infrastructure that drive our business. Your energy, innovation and desire to tackle challenges will fit right in.

Here are a few typical responsibilities:

  • Maintain the network infrastructure.
  • Answer e-mail questions from associates and customers.
  • Perform a wide range of programming tasks: build frameworks for new applications, retrofit older programs to work with the new platform, fix bugs that our quality control department reports, write documentation, and more.
  • Utilize a wide range of technologies such as Java, XML, Spring and Struts.
