TransUnion understands that associates are our greatest assets. We offer a variety of comprehensive, competitive benefits to help associates meet their expected and unexpected needs.

Our benefits program provides choice and flexibility, and helps associates control the increasingly high cost of these benefits. TransUnion offers the following benefit options:

Health and welfare benefits

Medical - As a TransUnion associate, you will have medical, dental and vision coverage after 31 days of service.

Disability - We offer long-term disability benefits.

Employee assistance program (EAP) - Problems or incidents sometimes occur that may interfere with your ability to function effectively either at work or in your personal relationships. When this happens, it's important that you have a place where you can turn for help.

The EAP provides easy access to problem assessment, short-term counselling and referrals by skilled professionals.

Our EAP can assist associates with problems such as:

  • Emotional and personal conflicts
  • Depression
  • Family and relationship concerns
  • Questions about drug or alcohol use
  • Managing stress and change
  • Financial concerns, including budgeting
  • Legal concerns, including divorce or separation
  • Grief

Employee life insurance - This insurance provides financial security for an associate's family in the event of a death. Basic life insurance is a company paid benefit. Optional insurance is available for a monthly premium.

Accidental death and dismemberment - This benefit offers extra financial protection in the event of an associate's death or dismemberment resulting from an accident. Basic AD&D is a company-paid benefit. Optional AD&D is available for a monthly premium.

Pension Plan

The TransUnion Pension Plan is designed to help you build financial security for your retirement years.

Permanent full-time employees are eligible to join the pension plan after they complete 12 months of service. The company will match an amount equal to your contribution subject to a maximum of five percent of the member's annual earnings.

At the end of each year, the company will contribute one percent of the member's annual earnings to active employees in the plan.

Other benefits

Vacation days - TransUnion considers vacation with pay for associates to be an essential part of working efficiently, giving you time to become mentally and physically refreshed.

Personal days/holidays - TransUnion complies with applicable provincial legislation in the observance of statutory holidays. In addition, associates receive two personal days off during each full calendar year.

Sick days - TransUnion provides sickness and accident benefits for regular full-time and reduced work schedule associates, which pay all or a portion of your salary if you are sick or injured and cannot work. This plan helps you avoid financial hardship while you are absent.
